Retrospective: February

by - März 06, 2016

Kultur

FKA Twigs' neue Single "It's good to love".

Can you believe the second month of 2016 is already over? Didn't we just made our resolutions for a new year? With march hopefully spring will show up soon. I can't wait to put away my winter coats. Talking about coats, I had some on the blog last month, but let's take a look back together, on what went on in february, here on Anti.Muse, on Instagram and in real life.

On the Blog

In february I launched my new rubric Retrospective. It's a monthly review where I summarize for you, what was going on in the last month on the blog, on Instagram and in real life. Further I had two interviews for you, one with australian blogger babe Renee Ruin from reneeruin.com and one with Berlin based artist Vera Kochubey. These interviews have been highlights to me since the work of Vera as well as the work of Renee impressed and motivated me intensely and for a long time. We also had another edition of our alternative fashion rubric "We Love" on the blog. This time it was all about fake fur.

There have been some features in february as well. We've been part of Independent Fashion Bloggers weekly link roundup "Links à la Mode" again and we have done a Vivienne Westwood inspired Look of the Day for the DIY community Cut Out + Keep.

What else has been going on?

I have to admit, my start into the new year was anything else but easy, but now that february is over, I can wholeheartedly say that sometimes it's worth making a decision that scares you at first. Sometimes it's worth making the first step, even if you don't know where you're going. Sometimes life forces you to change and even though it might hurt, it'll be worth it in the end. I decided to turn my back on my original profession to follow my heart. From now on I'm not only writing for Anti.Muse, but for kaufDA Insights as well, check out our site and stay up to date via facebook, as always your support is appreciated.

Culture

What else has been moving me in february? The lastest FKA Twigs song "It's good to love". I can't stop listening to it and it also leaves me impressed to know, that FKA Twigs directed the video for the song herself again. I feel inspired by this much creativity. Talking about creativity, I also got to see one of my favourite musical agitators, Alec Empire again, this time in the beautiful KW, "Institute for Contemporary Art", here in Berlin. Movies I've watched and really liked in february have been "Almost Famous", "The Royal Tennenbaums" and "The Theory of Everything". What has been your thing in february?

Let's stay in touch, follow Anti.Muse on Facebook and Instagram too. xxx
