Seine Musik ist düster, unverschnörkelt, kompromisslos und auf den Punkt - genau so würde ich auch seinen Style beschreiben. Bryan Black, der Mann hinter Black Asteroid den man nur selten mal ohne Sonnenbrille zu Gesicht bekommt, hat schon oft mit großen Designern kollaboriert. Raf Simons und Rick Owens zum Beispiel haben von Black Asteroid produzierte Tracks für ihre Runway Shows benutzt. Im Gegenzug dazu ist auch die Visual Identity von Black Asteroid von eben diesen Designern beeinflusst. Nicht nur in seinen Musikvideos (zum Beispiel in "Grind" und "Black Acid") kommen High-End Designer Pieces zum Einsatz, auch auf seinem Instagram Account (auf dem Black ausschließlich schwarz-weiß Bilder hochlädt) wird seine Vorliebe für eben diese deutlich. Wie immer bin ich auch in diesem Fall von dem Wechselspiel zwischen Mode und Musik, davon wie beides sich gegenseitig beeinflusst, begeistert. So wird das Cover des bevorstehenden Black Asteroid Debütalbums zum Beispiel in Zusammenarbeit mit Rick Owens entstehen. Der sagte über die Black Acid Remix EP: "Twice a year I spend a weekend at my factory in the middle of nowhere, Italy, focusing on the launch of Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter collections - womens, mens, DRKSHDW, Lilies, bags, shoes - I listened to your remix album the entire time, so what ever comes out is your fault.".

His music is dark, pure, raw, uncompromising and focused and so is his style. Rarely seen without shades, Bryan Black, the man behind Black Asteroid, often collaborates with designers, for example Raf Simons and Rick Owens, both used tracks produced by Black Asteroid for their runway shows. In return the visual identity of Black Asteroid is inspired by them too. So not only in his music videos ("Grind" or "Black Acid" for example) high-end designer pieces are shown, Bryan Black wears them himself with passion - beside many other black and white impressions, you get a glimpse of that following him on instagram. As always I am facinated by the interplay of fashion and music and how one affects the other.
