I got a huge love for the aesthetics of glamour and fetish, so I couldn't resist sharing this breathtaking editorial for the weekend with you. It's from one of my favourite magazines: Schön! Magazine. Schön! Magazine comes out quarterly, online and printed, with content from fashion to illustration to conceptual photography to art. I love this mixture of beautiful things, one always finds something inspiring in the mag. Do you know Schön! Magazine and like it as I do?

Hier in Berlin haben wir einen recht milden Februar - für meine Verhältnisse trotzdem zu kalt. Dank Layering kann man das Frieren aber ganz gut umgehen. Manch einer mag sich jetzt fragen, was denn der Unterschied zum guten, alten Zweibellook ist. Ich würde sagen er ist die uncharmante Variante vom Layering oder eben auch die -10 Grad-Variante - man sieht schnell wie ein Michelin-Männchen aus. Beim Layering geht es eher darum, verschiedene Lagen geschmackvoll aufeinander abzustimmen und mit verschiedenen Materialien Kontraste herzustellen, weniger mit Farben. Ganz in schwarz kommt der Layering Look daher am besten zur Geltung. Wie geht es euch bei den kalten Temperaturen, seid ihr Layering-Fans?

Here in Berlin we have relative mild temperatures for february - yet to cold for me. But with layering one can avoid to freeze. It's all about harmonizing different layers and creating a contrast with different materials, it's about flowing fabrics and cuts. Though winter is not my kind of season I'm really into layering - what about you?

Wir alle lieben Romanzen, es ist doch so oder?! Jeder hat gerne Schmetterlinge im Bauch. Der Valentinstag ist quasi das Sahnehäubchen auf der Glorifizierung des Pärchentums. Also hab ich mir diesen Stichtag mal als Anlass genommen, nach 10 stylishen Pärchen Ausschau zu halten - denn wenn einer alleine hübsch daher kommt ist das schon schön anzusehen, aber wenn zwei es im Doppelpack tun ist das noch besser. We're all in love with romance, aren't we?! Everybody likes to have butterlies in their stomach. Valentines Day virtually is the icing on the cake of the glorification of couple-ism. So I chose this day, to put a list of the top 10 most stylish couples together - cause if one is looking good it's always nice to look at, but if two are looking fabulous together it's even better. Sid Vicious - the face of punk, the "fabulous disaster", das Symbol des Punkrock, starb heute vor 35 Jahren an einer Überdosis Heroin, grade mal 21 Jahre jung, und nur einen Tag nach seiner Entlassung aus dem Gefängnis, in dem er wegen Mordverdachts an seiner Freundin Nancy Spungen in Haft war. Nicht nur, dass sich die Geschichte von Sid und Nancy zu einer Legende versponnen hat, auch modisch hat der Look der beiden in der Nachwelt Spuren hinterlassen. Natürlich ist es der Look einer ganzen Ära - aber grade Sid war eben ihr Vorreiter und Aushängeschild. Er hat damit Generationen bis heute beeinflusst. Er war ein Meister der Provokation (Hakenkreuz-Shirt), genauso wie er ein Meister der Selbstzerstörung war. Nietengürtel, Lederjacke, zerschnittene Shirts, zerrissene Hosen - expession through fashion. Im letzten Jahr hat sich das Metropolitain Museum of Art in New York mit der Ausstellung "Chaos to Couture" sogar mit dem Einfluss von Punk Fashion auf die Modewelt befasst. Ob Sid das gefallen hätte? Wohl eher nicht. Könnt ihr in eurem Kleidungsstil auch Einflüsse aus der Punk-Ära wiederfinden? Gefällt und inspiriert euch der Look von Sid?

Sid Vicious - the face of punk, the "fabulous disaster", the symbol of punkrock, died 35 years ago today from an overdose, only 21 years old, just one day after his release from prison after being arrested and charged for the muder of his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. The story of Sid and Nancy became a punkrock legend, but also their style had a very deep impact on fashion till today. Of course it is the look of a whole era - but Sid was a figurehead and a pioneer of punk fashion. He was a master of provocation (the swastika shirt) as he was a master of selfdestruction. A studded belt, a leatherjacket, shredded shirts and ripped pants - expression through fashion. In 2013 even the Metropolitain Museum of Art paid tribute to the the influence punk had on the fashion world with the exhibition "Chaos to Couture". If Sid have liked it? I don't think so.
