Im Blogpost "Südsee-Sehnsucht" habe ich Maria Caleis bereits kurz vorgestellt. Ihre berufliche Biografie besagt "From Law to Draw" - und Gott sei Dank ist dem so. Denn in ihren wunderbaren Illustrationen paaren sich Mode und Kunst auf eine ganz besondere Weise - Catwalk meets Art Gallery, Art Decó meets Avantgarde. Und so kommt es, dass einen die Illustrationen der in La Coruna, Spanien, lebenden Künstlerin schnell mitnehmen in eine ganz eigene Welt voll Extravaganz und Sinnlichkeit.
